Keywords: Stainless Steel, Heating Elements, Weather Proof

Industrial duct heaters are heavy duty, dependable and safe heating units designed for low pressure fan-forced heating systems. Bucan offers two types of industrial duct heaters. Units designed for low outlet temperatures (up to 750°F) and units designed for high outlet temperatures (up to 1100°F). Both these models have general purpose terminal enclosures (NEMA 1) and utilize rugged 0.430in diameter Incoloy tubular heaters that are arranged in an optimum configuration to minimize the pressure drop.

  • Incoloy sheathed heating elements
  • Select a reduced watt density for this application
  • general purpose terminal enclosure (NEMA 1)
  • 4" mineral wool insulation inside the terminal box
  • mounting plate, keeper plate and support hardware are stainless steel

  • weather proof terminal enclosure (NEMA 4)
  • air tight sealed joint, element to mounting flange
  • stainless steel terminal enclosure
  • process control thermocouple
  • high limit thermocouple

Immersion Heaters - Pipe Insert Immersion Heaters

Pipe Insert immersion heaters are ideal for applications where direct contact of the liquid and the heating element are to be avoided; or in large storage tanks where draining the tank, in the event a heater needs replacing, is difficult. When more than one heater is needed, mount the pipes in parallel rows to avoid liquid overheating in the centre from a wagon wheel installation.

Tubular Heaters - Finned Tubular Heaters

In applications where tubular heaters are exposed to forced convection, placing fins around tubularheaters increases their surface area and thus improves their heat transferring capacity. Finned tubularheaters, compared to regular tubular heaters, run at lower surface temperatures for the same watt densities when placed in identical air streams.

Immersion Heaters - Screw Plug Immersion Heaters

Bucan screw plug electrical immersion heaters are designed to be immersed directly into the gas or liquid being heated; since these heaters come into direct contact with the gas or liquid, heat up times are very fast. Industrial immersion heaters are medium capacity heating units designed to heat liquids, viscous fluids, forced air and gases inside tanks, vessels and pipes. The sheath material of the heating elements could be.

Immersion Heaters - Over-the-Side Immersion Heaters

Over-the-side immersion heaters are for applications where installing a heater through the side wall of a vessel is not convenient. These immersion heaters are easy to install and can be moved from one tank to another without the need to drain the tank. Built-in thermostats, thermocouples, and high limit thermocouples. Straight "L" shaped for heating the bottom of rectangular tanks. Not heated vertical riser pipes for bottom of tank heaters.

Tubular Heaters - Straight & Formed Tubular Heaters

These versatile heating elements are available in steel, copper, stainless steel or Incoloy outside sheath and can be utilized in application temperatures of up to 1400º F. Tubular heaters can be used in free air, clamped to a surface, placed inside a groove or cast into metal. Tubul ar heater s are highly adaptable to most applications where electrical heating is required. They can be used in their straight form or bent into various shapes.

Immersion Heaters - Flanged Immersion Heaters

Various types of electrical protection housing, built in thermostats, thermocouples and high limit switches can be incorporated. Flanged immersion heaters are high capacity electrical heating units made for tanks or pressurized vessels. They consist of multiple tubular heaters formed into hairpin and welded or brazed to flanges. The heating elements could be made of copper, steel, stainless steel or Incoloy sheath.
