Brightwood Ranch Summer Camps | Hope Mission

By: Brightwood Youth Ranch Association  09-12-2011

Brightwood Ranch is a ministry of Edmonton’s Hope Mission. We offer an affordible, high-energy Christian summer camp experience! We provide campers, ages 6-17, from any race or religion, the opportunity to learn how the Christian faith can provide direction and healing for today’s youth. Daily chapel gatherings consist of skits, singing and a short message. Presented in a casual manner, cabin group Bible studies encourage campers to discover God‘s love and His plan for their lives.

We are committed to getting kids active! With 220 acres packed full of summer camp activities including horse back riding, climbing wall, and archery, Brightwood Ranch is the ultimate summer destination for kids and youth. Our adventurous, outdoor activies allow staff to encourge, praise, and build up campers’ self esteem and confidence.

Safety and comfort are our primary concerns. Campers sleep in heated cabins with private bathrooms and showers and are supervised and cared for by trained Christian counselors all week long. Nutritious meals and snacks are prepared and served in our new kitchen and dining hall. We provide a full-time, registered nurse on site in case of injury or illness.

Camp Director

“Christian camping has been in my blood ever since I was 16. I went to camp through an inner city youth organization in Winnipeg when I was 9, accepted Christ at camp when I was 15 and started as a counselor the next summer. I was asked that year what I wanted to do with my life and I said I wanted to be a Camp Director. Most of the significant decisions and times of growth for me ha ve happened while serving at camp.” – Brent Ankrom

Kids in Action | Hope Mission

Kids in Action strives to provide youth and kids the support and skills they need to overcome the pitfalls of life and avoid the cycles of addiction and abuse that our society suffers from. Through these efforts it was realized that not only do we need to be reactive to the suffering of the people in our society, but also proactive in their lives.
