Exterior

All of our exterior work is tackled with safety, cleanliness, and thorough preparation. We always use high quality Exterior paints eg;( HP 2000, Aura – General Paint and Benjamin Moore respectively). Winnipeg is notoriously known for its harsh winters, but the Winnipeg summers, while short make for a very hot environment. The Winnipeg summers are ideal for customers to take advantage of the beautiful hot weather and is the perfect time for Better Painting to lively up the outside of your house. Better Painting will help your home stand out from the neighboring houses as they notice your house looking fresher and cleaner all done with the Better Painting touch. We only work when the temperature is higher than an average of 15 degrees and plenty of sun to ensure proper drying and settling of the paint. We also use ladder hooks to make sure that there are no damages done to the eavesthrough. If there are any gardens around the work area, we will ensure to cover it all up

The preparation process of exterior painting is always crucial. The order of preparation is:

  • Clean off surface using a Broom or Water hose
  • Place drop sheets on the working area
  • Scrape loose paint
  • Thoroughly sand and smoothen the painting area
  • Apply silicone caulking on windows and doors (If Necessary)
  • Apply exterior primer on bare wood and areas of work
  • Allow plenty of time for prime to dry
  • Apply 2 coats of finish exterior paint
