Dispatch Situational Awareness Application

The ‘Dispatch’ situational awareness application is a web based tool that provides agencies with the real-time, “big picture”, of all goings on throughout their organization as well as a set of decision support tools to enhance decision making.

  • ‘Dispatch’ can pull resource tracking from any AFF tracking vendor (Blue Sky, Outerlink, Latitude, etc.)
  • ‘Dispatch” is customized on a per agency basis  to easily integrate with an agency’s current methods of operating.
  • Easy filtering (country -> state -> organization within that state -> incident or resource type)
  • ‘Dispatch’ can run from almost any computer or laptop
  • ‘Dispatch’ sits atop all current systems that an agency has (i.e. incident management systems) and displays this data visually. Therefore there is no need to replace these systems. ‘Dispatch’ can also write to these systems if given proper permissions.
  • ‘Dispatch’ can display agency maps in various formats. These include ESRI, maps available via WMS, and Google Earth

  • Real-time Resource Tracking (satellite, radio, cellular)
  • Tracked fixed and rotary wing aircraft, including AFF
  • Track vehicles, fireline equipment, crews, personnel
  • Create, display, and update incident information
  • User-defined Information Overlays
  • Simple powerful spatial display
  • Initial Phone Reports (real-time, seen agency wide)
  • Electronic Airtanker Requests (real-time communication)
  • Closest Resource Tool (bearing and distance) and Ruler
  • Real-time Lightning, Fire Weather, Indices, and Behavior
  • Fire Perimeters
  • Fire Behavior Prediction

Personnel and Resource Tracking Application

PRT is a new tool for emergency management agency dispatchers. PRT allows dispatchers to quickly take radio logs, create crews, set crew or personnel status, drag-and-drop crews onto aircraft/vehicles, and assign them to incidents.

Check-in alarms can be set manually or by certain resource statuses and resources can quickly be transferred between dispatchers. Because all information is logged, various reports can be created.

Features include:

  • Dispatcher Advanced Radio Log
  • Create/update incidents and projects
  • Track all resources (location, status and assignment)
  • Complete manifests of all resources
  • “Drag and drop” crew creation
  • Associations between crew-aircraft-incident
  • Timestamped resource and incident radio-logs
  • Activity dependent check-in alarms
  • Activity and costing reports on incidents and resources
