Taught by working actors and filmmakers, The Young Actors Conservatory offers a series of courses from the entry absolute beginner level through the intermediate stages and continuing studies skills for the advanced working actor. Students can learn from basic to advanced on-camera acting and auditioning techniques designed to develop the skills needed to approach a career in film and television or just simply enjoy discovering what it would mean to be a working actor. It develops confidence and communication skills in the young person and allows them to explore their potential in a safe and encouraging environment. Information about our studio and instructors can be found on our website: www.screenactors.ca

We should also point out there is not a definitive ‘ladder’ process offered here. Young actors learn at different rates and sometimes the required understanding of the individual at whatever age level will accelerate or need to have more time to address the subject matter. At the Screen Actor’s Studio we encourage the parent to discuss this subject with us so that the young actor can understand they are building a strong foundation before moving to another group. We may feel it is in their best interests to repeat the level they are attending. This is most often recommended in the young 8 – 12 age group.

N.B. There is a snack break in all sessions and we would remind parents to avoid snacks that might trigger allergies. (i.e. peanut allergies)
