Data Collection & Reporting
During our joint assessment of your needs, we'll also consider how best for me to collect your data (invoices, payroll info, purchases, etc.), and how frequently (monthly, quarterly). We can also discuss meeting to review your monthly reports. My clients value this time together, as do I. There is no added charge for these reviews.
I normally do the work needed at my office; however, we can arrange for doing the work at your place of business. Technological advances make it possible to exchange files by e-mail – even to work remotely on your computer right from my office.
I will provide you with financial statements each month along with any other reports you would like. The financial statements include both the Balance Sheet and the Statement of Profit/Loss. Other reports you may wish to review could include Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable both of which can be grouped by how long amounts have been owing.
I do not share any of your information with anyone else..period!
Flat Fee for Bookkeeping
My clients like the idea of knowing in advance how much to budget for bookkeeping, so I set my fees as flat monthly rates. Fees for monthly bookkeeping are based on the anticipated work involved as determined jointly. My rates are reasonable, and payable each month upon completion of the work.
Bringing Records Current
You may have records that you need to bring up to date. The fee for this service will be based on the number of months your records are behind, the level of activity during those months, and the number of employees involved. Half this fee is cutomarily paid in advance; the balance upon completion.
Normally there will be a fee to set-up a fresh set of books – accounts and records pertinent to your particular business – which will serve as the basis for on-going monthly work. My standard fee for set-up is $250, payable at the time of service.
I use either Simply Accounting (by Sage) or Quick Books (by Intuit), depending on your preference. In simple situations, we can use spreadsheets to track your financial transactions.
