Hey pumpkin bumpkins, “Seasons Greetings”!

I smell a theme….just found the recent plenty-posts and thought I would join in. You know me - love a theme and what better! These ‘pumpkin spice biscotti’ turned out quite good but were chewy versus the normal crunchy. They have been enjoyed and more so with a favorite cuppa!

TW: Bobbie followed a Pumpkin Biscotti recipe submitted by to. Garrett recommends enjoying the biscotti with a warm  or espresso.

Over the next month I’ll start posting recipes here that I plan to use as our family’s standards. Box but generally when I cook it comes down to what I am in the mood for. The Eat Here Now 2011 Local Food Harvest Festival is an event organized by the Victoria Downtown Public Market Society in support of the re-establishment of a year-round, indoor local food-centered public market for downtown Victoria. Such a market will improve the island’s food security by increasing accessibility to island grown products during every season, helping local farms remain vibrant and sustainable.

For a book about cafes, bars, and hangouts it wasn’t as rollicking a read as I imagined it might be, none-the-less Oldenburg’s case for “the informal public life and the Great Good Places essential to it” sheds light on some fundamental elements of culture and society that too often we overlook. Thus, its profusion of sidewalk cafes seems to be Paris, just as the forum dominates one’s mental picture of classic Rome.
