To continue further research and development on the EJ22T ECU, we picked up a project 1992 Legacy SS with a rod knock due to loss of pressure. Upon tear-down we discovered a munched rod bearing and badly pitted main bearings. The thrust bearing had also worn down so much that all the crank counterthrows had made contact with the block. Even the crank had bent 0.030". Basically, all the internals were scrap and a full rebuild was necessary.
