3D Modeling « Galdos Systems Inc

By: Galdos Systems  09-12-2011

Galdos Systems has built a number of proprietary online web map solutions and customized animated 3D maps for customers. The implementations used various technologies such as Flash and JavaScript, or the Google Earth and Google Maps API.

Galdos has developed several technologies for working with 3D models and visualizating data. 2D imagery and 3D data are combined to create virtual environments in applications built on the IN3D™ Visualization Engine. Private or public globes are used by the INfuse™ Spatial Services Framework to create a collaborative environment that is intuitive and familiar. The INdicio™ Web Registry provides storage, indexing, and search capabilities.

Quality Assurance « Galdos Systems Inc

An executable test suite is developed from an abstract test suite, and is designed to verify that what is being tested actually conforms to the specification. An abstract test suite for a standard is a collection of test cases designed to cover all the assertions in the functional specification. Galdos has used Arbitron to develop abstract test suites and executable test suites for various standards.

Standards « Galdos Systems Inc

Galdos Systems has been instrumental in the development of various standards in the OGC and ISO, and has provided input into a number of others. He was awarded the Gardels Medal for his contributions to the creation and development of the Geography Markup Language. GML is the core encoding for geographical data delivered through Open Standards based GeoWeb services.

Data Modeling « Galdos Systems Inc

GML dictionaries provide controlled vocabularies, or enumerated types, from which to select allowed values for the associated GML properties. Data models need to be precise, and must explicitly define the data elements and the relationships between them for a specific domain. Geospatial data models are the heart of geographic information systems, and describe how the data are represented and accessed.

SDI Architecture « Galdos Systems Inc

Over time, geospatial data have become more distributed as different departments, organizations, and government agencies need different data models and distributed locations need to access geospatial data locally. The role of the spatial infrastructure is to enable database synchronization by enabling the user specified creation/maintenance of publication subscription relationships between the participating databases.

GML Schema Development « Galdos Systems Inc

GML application schemas provide an essential ingredient in geospatial data sharing by specifying a common language for filters, queryies, and responses. As one of the original creators of GML, Galdos Systems has significant expertise in creating schemas in the Geography Markup Language.
