Don't leave things to chance.

You've invested a lot of time and money in your business. Your clients, employees and customers mean alot to you and the success of your business.  B.C. Security & Safety Services will patrol, secure and protect all of your business assets long after you go home at night. And whatever your budget, we can provide you with a security program that will let you sleep at night knowing your business is safe and protected.

Things to Consider

  • Assess how much of a threat your company faces. This should include threats to your clients, employees and customers as well as things like cash on hand and merchandise. Losing merchandise is one thing but how important is the security of your client or employee?
  • Screen your security agency. This is essential but very seldom done by businesses that hire security companies. Is the security company you are hiring reputable? Do they specialize in the type of security you require, or are they simply the cheapest service available? Remember the old adage: "You get what you pay for".
  • Prepare a formula that weighs the costs of security against the costs associated with losing clients, employees, property, reputation and all the other losses you could incur with just one single mishap.

Security Tips for Businesses

  • Business that have high traffic (lots of cash on hand) are more attractive to thieves , putting them at greater risk.
  • Business located in rural and out-of-the-way locations make better targets of break-and-entry and robbery. Rear doors not easily seen are also more attractive to burglars.
  • Lone employees (especially females alone at night) are seen as easier targets .
  • Keep valuable out of sight and not in the store front windows.
  • Delegate who does what in an emergency. Keep a list of emergency numbers near the telephone
  • Make a list of names for the alarm monitoring company to contact in case of emergencies.
  • Train your staff not to interfere with a robbery, thieves or shoplifters. This is essential!
  • Review the program with your staff. Make sure everyone knows exactly what to do in cases of emergencies.
  • Change passwords or codes after terminating employees.
  • Remember: There is no such thing as being too safe!
