Exposed aggregate

The process of spraying the newly placed concrete surface with a special retarder, effectively slowing the curing process.

After sufficient time the surface of the concrete is then washed off either by mains water pressure or water blaster to reveal the aggregate (either quarry cut stone or pebble).

The surface can then be acid washed and sealed depending on budget and preference.

Exposed aggregate is one of the best anti-slip finished concrete surfaces on the market today and when installed properly by trade professionals it looks fantastic.

It is ideal for:

  • Sidewalks
  • Driveways
  • Patios
  • Pool Decks
  • Stairs

Broom or Smooth Finish

Smooth finish can either be a smooth trowel or a flat trowel (feather) finish depending on use and traffic. A broom finish provides some anti-slip by, essentially, roughening the surface of the concrete.

Polished

Polished concrete floors are low-maintenance, as they are more durable and easier to clean than many flooring options.
It's low coefficient of friction makes it non-slippery.
Polished Concrete reduces dust mite and allergen problems, and does not support mold growth.

Stamped

There are three procedures used in stamped concrete which separate it from other concrete procedures; the addition of a base color, the addition of an accent color, and stamping a pattern into the concrete. These three procedures provide stamped concrete with a color and shape similar to the natural building material. It also is longer lasting than paved stone, and still resembles the look.
