The aircraft component tracking program was designed with the field mechanic in mind. The program is simple in operation and the reports produced are designed to give field mechanics the information they need at a glance.
The program produces three different reports that are previewed on screen and may be printed if desired. The reports are:
- Projection Report - Lists all items coming due in a user specified period of time. Items are displayed with the item coming due first listed first. First the items that are aircraft total time limited are displayed, then date limited items, then cycle limited items and finally flight cycle limited items. Some programs costing thousands of dollars won't produce a report as useful as this one.
- Status Report - Lists all items showing the times at installation, when the item was installed and when it is due for action.
- Component Report - Allows the user to select one or more items and show the current times on the item as well as the installation information. This report will also display a percentage of the time remaining on each item (i.e. a 1000 hour item that has flown 900 hours would show 10% remaining). This report is very useful when filling out the paperwork for major assemblies being removed.
The program has been successfully run on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT and XP. System requirements are minimal. The complete program plus data for a small fleet of aircraft will easily fit on a 1.44 Mb floppy.
