And you thought Ladysmith was a sleepy, Vancouver Island village where nothing happened on a Saturday! Well, that’s about to change.

On Saturday, December 3rd, there will be so much going on, you won’t know where to turn. Starting with breakfast at LaFF, you can then participate in the passport promotion to win a grand prize!

“My annual, eagerly anticipated studio sale is just around the corner.

All year long I hide away any slightly flawed pieces saving them for the studio sale weekend.

As I need to make room for all the new work I’m going to create, I also go through the gallery and pick out pieces for clearance. Needless to say, these are all screaming deals!

On top of that, everything else in the gallery is 25% off for the weekend. I am prolific so there will be a lot of pieces to choose from.

The sale opens at 11 am and there is always a line up as people come year after year to see what amazing finds there will be and this year there will be lots.

From my ever-popular functional ware like coffee mugs and casseroles to the one-of-a-kind decorative vessels that I am known for.

Looking forward to seeing you.

- Mary”

The Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Home Garden and Business Show in April 2011.  This was an excellent opportunity for our members to participate. Rhonda Shirley was the organizer for this year and she did a great job in organizing a major home and business event.

Outrageous Evening of Fun!

The April 2011 Outrageous Event proved to be a popular evening and a huge success with attendance by 200 people from Ladysmith and surrounding areas, filling the old Aggie hall full to the brim with an anticipating audience and Lip Sync participants.

The evening opened with a special guest appearance by Miss Vikki Smudge. Her live performances and antics entertained the audience and set the tone for an evening of fun. Vikki Smudge; what can we say but Bravo! Following the opening act were nine lip sync groups who lit up the stage, each one adding their own special flare to the evening.
