Vermicomposting? What's That?
Vermicomposting is composting with worms - and red worms are the ideal species. Worm composting is superior to regular composting because of the nutrient-rich soil and tea that are produced as a byproduct of this specialized composting process. Worm composting is simple, hassle-free, it can be done indoors or outdoors, and it's is odour-free.
Don't Forget to Make Your Bed
Just like other animals, worms need a comfortable place to live. It's easy to make bedding, the material worms live in. Just collect and mix together shredded leaves, shredded newspaper and cardboard, peat, moss, shredded straw, chopped-up old hay, dried grass clippings and old manure. The bedding in your new worm bin will gradually assimilate with the food and will eventually mix with the worm castings to become nutrient-rich worm soil. All Things Organic has many types of bins to choose from, and all the red worms and bedding you need to get started.

ATO Super Soil
When your bin is full or when four to six months of composting time has elapsed, the rich soil can be harvested. You'll find the finished soil on the bottom, and on the very top you will find food, bedding and worms, all of which you should return to the bin to re-start the composting process. The nutrient-rich compost that you harvest is SUPER SOIL, having been created by worm castings. It can be added to the soil of your indoor plants or to your garden. This worm soil is much richer in plant micro-nutrients, compared to normal compost or regular soil, because of the high reduction in waste ratio that is unique to worm composting. These micro-nutrients can be up to seven times more nutrient rich than regular soil.
ATO Worm Tea - Serve Your Plants Tea
Worm tea is the liquid portion of the composting process, and all bins available from All Things Organic are specially designed to enable you to extract this valuable, super-concentrated product. Diluted half and half with water, worm tea becomes an excellent plant food.
