Tequeño is the favourite Venezuelan snack for any occasion. People use to say "a party is not a party without tequeños" . It is prepared with a bar of cheese wrapped with delicious wheat dough; different fill such as ham, ham and chesse, salmon, etc can be order as well.
We package frozen tequeños in 12, 25 and 50 packages. All pieces are frozen individually, so you can pick just what you need leaving the rest in your freezer. The price is $10, $20, and $40 for the regular cheese tequeño.
How to fry them !
- Remove from the freezer just the quantity you need, and let them rest for 30 minutes to allow the cheese or filling to warm up.
- Heat to 170 C the oil in a deep fryer or pan with lot of oil.
- Place the tequeños in the hot oil and fry them for about 1 minute or till they get a golden brown colour. If some cheese leaks from a tequeño, remove the spilled cheese to avoid burning the oil.
- Serve with your favourite dip.
