EKBIA provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals with brain injury to meet, share and help one another. Individual and group appointments are available by calling the office at 250-417-6220.
Individuals with ABI are unique like fingerprints - no two are exactly the same. EKBIA uses strategies and guidance to support and assist individuals to succeed at an achievable pace with rehabilitation activities important to them. The goal is a successful return to their communities with an improved quality of life for their ongoing recovery.
Group programs are called Outreach Programs and cover a vast region going from, Cranbrook to Kimberely, Creston, Elk Valley to Fernie, Sparwood, Hosmer and Elkford, Columbia Valley to Golden, Invermere and Canal Flats. The programs assist individuals with ABI to access community based support and services in order to maximize the quality of their lives. It is important to have peer support offering a network to share problems and successes with others who understand. This enables each survivor and their families to share strategies that helped them in their ongoing recovery.
