A Warm Place for Women
A monthly social evening for women in need, hosted by Soroptimist International of the Tri-Cities at 2 locations in the Tri-Cities.  Women in need are invited to enjoy:
- A hot meal
- Beverages
- Dessert
- Friendly faces
- Clothes
- Shoes/boots
- Care packages
- Assistance (if requested - e.g. referrals for support services, resume writing, etc.)

On different evenings there may be activities like crafts, medical practitioners, beauty providers and more.

Time: 6pm to 8pm. Dinner served at 6:15 pm
Children are welcome to attend.
Note: A Warm Place for Women is a drug and alcohol-free event.

Kinsman Centre, Aggie Park (Shaughnessy and Lougheed) in Port Coquitlam.
1st Thursday of every month.
Coquitlam Legion, 1025 Ridgeway Ave., Coquitlam.
3rd Thursday of every month.

Three outreach workers plus a part-time psychiatric street nurse seek out homeless persons where they live, establishing contact, developing rapport and connecting them with available resources and services when they are ready. Hope for Freedom also operates the Homeless Resource Centre at Grace Church in Port Coquitlam with limited shower and laundry facilities.



The Cold Wet Weather Mat Program operates nightly from 10 PM – 7 AM during the period November 1st – March 31st. Five Tri-Cities area churches host the shelter on a rotating basis.
