Skills Enhancement Program (Previously called the Kindergarten Therapeutic Intervention Program)

The Skills Enhancement Program focuses on children who are not currently receiving Speech and Language Pathology or Occupational Therapy services and would benefit from a skills “boost up” . The program encourages children to develop their speech and communication skills, fine motor, large motor, social, emotional and self-regulatory skills and brings together the expertise of a speech and language pathologist, an occupational therapist and an early childhood educator with special needs certification in a sensorial play based child friendly environment that respects each child’s individual learning style.

These programs are intended to support your child's readiness skills to ensure a successful transition into school.  The specialists and therapists in the program develop the sessions around your child's existing skill set and challenge them to further develop pre-printing skills, reasoning skills, enhance communication skills and further ensure successful social interactions in a group.   Recommendations and suggestions are made in a written report to you; the parent/caregiver that further support your childs optimal development.

The next summer camp sessions are being confirmed.. so watch closely for the announced dates for summer 2011!

These programs fill quickly and are space limited.  For more information please call 604-931-1977

Special Programs

The Skills Enhancement Programs focus on children who are not currently receiving Speech and Language or Occupational services and would benefit from a skills “boost up”. These summer camp programs run for one week sessions throughout the summer.

Family Programs

This hall allows for a large group of children and their parents or childcare providers to engage in large muscle activities of climbing, learning to ride trikes and running in programming along with a rich art and story time, which are well received by the diverse age group of children from aged birth to 4 years.

This longer preschool programming allows children to explore their learning environment through the facilitation of the trained Early Childhood Educators to make deeper connections and therefore meanings of their experiences while further preparing them for their future longer days of Kindergarten.
