We know that dental emergencies never happen at a convenient time. Most of our patients lead busy lives, and having pain or an emergency can disrupt your already tight schedule. That is why at Central Park Dental Clinic, you can count on us when you experience a dental emergency. We do our best to treat you quickly and restore your comfort so that you can continue with your day. When Is My Problem an Emergency? If you have a dental problem, you might wonder if you should call right away. We encourage you to do so. We will ask the appropriate questions to determine if an emergency appointment is necessary. The most important thing to remember is your dental health. If you are ever in doubt about a condition you are experiencing, call us right away! Some common dental emergencies include: Tooth pain Lost permanent tooth Swelling Trauma A cracked tooth Lost crown Lost filling Pain in your gums Severe sensitivity Bleeding Tooth discoloration Remember, if you have an accident and may have head injuries or if you have severe bleeding that won’t stop, a visit to the emergency room is in order. We can treat your dental problem once you’ve seen a doctor to rule out more serious injuries to your head and neck. Will I Need to Come in After Hours? If you experience a dental emergency with pain, call us right away. If you call during business hours, we will do our best to treat you on the same day, whenever possible. If you experience an after-hours emergency, our highly skilled dentists can determine if an emergency visit outside of normal business hours is necessary or if it can wait until the next business day. Your health and comfort are always our number one priority. Once you arrive in our office, we will take an x-ray of the area and Drs. Chan, Rensen, or Day will make a diagnosis. We will sometimes perform palliative care and schedule your treatment for another day. Other times, we may treat you on the same day. It all depends on your unique situation and the nature of your emergency. Welcoming New Patients We understand that you may be new to the area or in between dental homes. We want you to know that we are here to support you. We welcome new patients to our practice and will help get you on the path to good oral health. We take pride in providing excellent dental care to all of the members of our community.
