Central Park Dental Clinic
Invisalign, Orthodontic Treatment, Clear Braces
At Central Park Dental Clinic, we understand that our patients want to look their best. So, when faced with a decision about whether or not to straighten your teeth, the convenience of the treatment itself probably factors into your decision. Most of our adult patients don’t relish the idea of walking around with a mouth full of metal brackets while they have orthodontics, and that is why we provide an alternative to traditional orthodontic treatment.
Invisalign and Clear Aligner
Both Invisalign and Clear Aligner utilize crystal clear aligner trays to gradually move your teeth. Each tray is a little different, and as you change them out, the aligner trays guide your teeth into their ideal position.
When you come to our Burnaby, BC dental office for treatment with clear aligner braces, we will take impressions of your teeth so that your trays can be manufactured by the Invisalign or Clear Aligner dental lab. You will wear your trays for approximately two weeks each and then change to the next aligner tray.
We will monitor your treatment and make sure your teeth are moving properly and that your trays are effective. For best results, it is necessary to wear your trays for a minimum of 22 hours per day.
As with all orthodontic treatment, you will need to wear a retainer so that your teeth do not drift back to their original location. It would be a shame to let your valuable time and money go to waste!
The Advantages of Clear Braces
The obvious advantage of Invisalign or Clear Aligner is that your treatment will be completely discreet. Because you will adjust to wearing your trays quickly, you can speak with no problem. You can also take your trays out to clean them and to eat, making oral hygiene easy and convenient.
As your treatment progresses, you will actually be able to see your results!
Are Clear Braces for Everyone?
Clear braces actually work best on patients without complex occlusal (how your teeth come together) issues and for patients without complex orthodontic needs. Used primarily on patients in their teens and adulthood, clear braces can correct many orthodontic conditions.
Clear Align and Invisalign are also useful for our patients who are experiencing orthodontic relapse, a condition that occurs when teeth drift back toward their original location. This usually occurs when patients fail to wear their orthodontic retainers.
