Do you find that you are always thinking of the past and what has gone wrong or has hurt you? Or are you always worrying or planning for the future? When a person does not spend the majority of the day in the present it can cause a lot of unwanted stress, depression, fatigue, anxiety, and hopelessness. It does take effort to remember that all we have is the present moment to live in. We cannot change the past nor can we predict the future with certainty.
In our work together we will look at the anxiety and worry that is taking up a lot of your energy. It is possible to work through what has gone wrong in the past and learn from it. You can plan for the future but also live in the present. Take control of your life back and use your emotions to guide you to the goals that are important to you
My life has been touched by a wide range of difficulties that has allowed me to become resilient, independent, and positive in the face of difficulties. There are many strategies to work on behaviors, unproductive thinking, and focusing on what is good in your life. I am very flexible in my approach to your current issues. We will work together to figure out what your goals for counselling are and then work towards accomplishing them. Art therapy can be very helpful and we can use this to help clarify what your emotions are and what is important to you.
