AutoBill Plus Validation module enables you to validate the status and eligibility of a health card at point of service. Use this module to validate a single health card or multiple health card numbers at any time - even before a patient's arrival. The validation service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week provided by the Ontario Ministry of Health.

Validation Process

Health Card Validation (HCV) will save you time and money from invalid, ineligible or fraudulent cards. Instantly verify patient data, reduce claim rejections during submission and administrative costs.

AutoBill Plus Validation features include:
  • Validate a swiped health card number and version code OR an existing one from the patient database.
  • Send a list or batch of health card numbers in one transaction.
  • Automatically saves when a patient's health card was last validated and its status in the patient database.
  • Automatically saves your HCV responses for future reference when needed.
  • Ability to perform other functions in AutoBill Validation while the HCV transaction is in progress. You do not have to wait at the screen for it to finish!
  • Tested with and approved by the Ontario Ministry of Health.
