Membership « ASHRAE Northern Alberta Chapter

By: Ashrae Nac  09-12-2011

As this year’s Membership Promotion Chair, I would like to personally thank each one of our chapter’s Members, Associate, Affiliate, and Student Members for their continued dedication to ASHRAE, as well as to invite those of you who are not yet members to sign up!

There are many advantages to becoming a member–both at the Society level and the Chapter level. To quote from the Society web site’s Membership page:

Membership in ASHRAE allows access to information about state-of-the-art HVAC&R technology and provides many opportunities to participate in the development of that technology. Participation is available locally, through chapters, and through membership on Society committees, such as standards projects committees, which are responsible for the development of standards, and technical committees which advise the Society on research needs, emerging technologies, and technical matters.

I’m looking forward to another successful year of ASHRAE in Northern Alberta!

Thank you very much.

Kent A. Signorini
Membership Promotion Chair 2011-2012

Over the past few years our chapter has been active in reaching out to these students as well as the mechanical engineering students at the U of A. The past couple of years the U of A has put together a program that specifically deals with the Building Sciences industry.
