Contact lenses require professional fitting and follow up to monitor your eyes for health, sight and comfort during continued use. Our contact lens fitters have had many, many years of experience fitting all types of lenses from single vision, torics and multifocals. Give us a call at the Broadmead location if you’d like to set up an appointment to see about wearing contact lenses for the first time or if you’d like to replenish your existing stock of contacts.
You should look great in your frames and see well through your lenses! We have many creative solutions for your eyewear needs.
SINGLE VISION: These lenses are used for correcting for one focusing distance only- whether it be for your far away, mid-distance or close up viewing.
PRE-PRESBYOPE: For people who are just starting to have problems with reading close up materials. These lenses give you full distance viewing like single vision lenses with a mild reading addition worked into the lower part of the lens. This is neither a bi-focal nor a full progressive lens.
BI-FOCAL: These lenses correct for distance viewing and reading only. They are commonly noticed as they have a line that runs along the top of the reading segment.
PROGRESSIVES: Often people who need assistance with reading and distance all the time wear these lenses. They offer clear vision at all focusing distances from far away to your computer to your close up needs. These are often used in conjunction with a set or two of task specific glasses. For example, this could be a separate pair of single vision readers to make evening reading and close up hobby work more enjoyable. It could also mean having a pair of glasses just for office use, which offer a much wider field of intermediate and close up vision, making working at the computer all day long much nicer. For the golf enthusiast, we can even make speciality glasses for you!
