I provide piano services in the Toronto area. I am acquainted with many technicians in southern Ontario and can help you find a technician elsewhere if necessary.

Selling your piano? Let me give you a realistic assessment of its resale value.

Purchase Consultations
Interested in buying a used piano? There are some great deals out there, but it’s important to get a technician to assess the condition of any used piano before you buy. (Even a free piano might not be a good deal if it needs repairs that are not apparent to the untrained eye—especially if you have to pay to move it to your home.) Let me help you find “the one.”

I can source piano accessories and other services for you, e.g. benches, piano moving, etc.

Tuning I usually charge $120 for the first tuning, $100 thereafter if you tune at least once a year. HST is extra. If a significant pitch-raise is necessary (half a semitone or more), it costs more. I accept cash or cheque.

Raising the pitch of very out-of-tune pianos sometimes results in broken strings. Treble strings are inexpensive to repair and can sometimes be replaced without booking another appointment. Copper-wound bass strings must be custom-ordered to match your piano.

Repairs and action regulation are assessed and charged on an individual basis.

Humidity control systems cost $700.00 plus tax for grand pianos, and $550.00 plus tax for upright pianos. Installation is included.
