Alpaca Fibre
Alpacas produce one of the world's finest and most luxurious natural fibers. It is clipped from the animal without causing it injury. Soft as cashmere and warmer, lighter and stronger than wool, it comes in more colors than any other fiber producing animal (approximately 22 basic colors with many variations and blends). This cashmere-like fleece, once reserved for Incan royalty, is now enjoyed by spinners and weavers around the world.

  • Unique thermal properties. The alpaca fiber has microscopic air pockets inside, exactly as the polar bear fur. It makes the best natural insulate fiber.
  • It is lightweight breathes easily helping to keep you comfortably warm.
  • As it doesn't has lanoline it is hypoallergenic. Lanolin is found in wool, it holds dust and microscopic allergens that often create allergies associated to wool.

Product Care The following instructions will help you in the process of washing, drying and storing the alpaca products from All Alpaca Plus. If you have a several pieces outfit we recommend that you clean it at the same time to avoid color discrepancies after the washing process. There are two ways of washing your alpaca products (we do not recommend the use of a washing machine): hand washing and dry cleaning.



Alpaca fibre does not have barbs that wool does and so they are smoother, softer and more comfortable to wear. There are tiny air pockets inside the individual fibres allowing the foot to breath and wick away moisture. 100% Canadain Made The Alpaca socks are available in brown. Alpaca is approximately 6 times warmer than wool.
