Your body has its own healing capacity. You just need to activate it and we, your St Albert acupuncture and wellness team, can show you how. How Does Acupuncture Work? Does the thought of someone poking you with a needle keep you from enjoying the amazing benefits of acupuncture? “But I’m afraid of needles!” You are not alone, we have heard this sentiment very often from individuals all over the St. Albert and Edmonton areas. However, the needles you have probably experienced at the doctors were quite large, unpleasant and painful. In contrast, acupuncture needles are 1/15th the size of the regular hypodermic needle seen at your doctor’s office. In other words, you can fit 15 acupuncture needles inside one traditional needle. Acupuncture needles are roughly the thickness of a strand of hair, allowing the needle to slip into place gently and painlessly.
