Holiday Tip #3: Drink water
On December 1 I promised my Menomission friends I’d deliver a tip a day (for the next five days) to help reduce the risk you’d gain weight over the holidays.
Today, I’m telling you to drink water.
We don’t drink enough water. We all know that. But I think it’s more difficult to keep your water consumption up over the holidays – whether we intend to or not, we are often replacing water with sodas, cocktails, punch, lattes and wine.
If you keep your water consumption up to eight glasses a day, you’ll feel great.
I have a lovely glass water pitcher I always keep filled in the fridge. To give it a little more flavour I might add some lemon slices or fresh mint leaves. It’s refreshing and because it’s always handy, it’s not so hard to get my eight glasses a day.
