Workshop: “Analyze your Data” Part 1
This hands-on 5-day workshop focuses on the fundamental concepts and features necessary for creating and analyzing Association and Timeline Charts. Through customizable scenario-driven exercises, participants learn to create charts manually and import external structured data. Participants learn to switch a chart from association to temporal and vice versa. Merging and combining charts, using attributes, and setting up charts for presentation are also covered. Participants are introduced to several tools such as List Items, List Cards, Text search, and Visual Analysis to find and query data within charts. During this workshop, participants learn how to customize the standard template provided within Analyst’s Notebook® by adding attributes and basic functional tools. The full session culminates in a project that incorporates all the elements learned during the week.

The participant or the organization will provide the dongle. Price

Workshop: “Analyze your Data” Part 2
This hands-on 4-day session builds upon functions and concepts learned in Workshop: “Analyze your Data” Part 1. The emphasis is on analysis and customization, less on manual charting. Participants learn to customize and create icons, attributes, templates, palettes, chart properties, attributes, and are introduced to analysis attributes that complement their investigations. The session will also target Telephone Toll Analysis. Scenario-driven, a new functionality, and conceptual technique are introduced that apply specifically to high volume telephone call examination, as well as hands-on familiarization and obtaining results in a timely manner. Further to Telephone Analysis, participants build their importing and analytical skills while learning techniques for manipulating charts created with mass data. Emphasis is placed on semantics features and learning the analysis tools, and how they can be used to examine chart focus and to find commonalities within and between charts. The week culminates with a participant project that reiterates what they learned during the week and provides for additional chart presentation techniques and report generation.

Workshop: “Manage your Data”

This 5-day workshop focuses on the use of databases by participants who are involved with investigations, data entry and analysis. Using a variety of data, exercises and a program called iBase®, participants will learn basic functions to conduct analysis, visualize their data and populate databases. Participants will also learn how to query the database, import and export data, create Sets to better manage data, and perform more advanced queries and manipulation of data. Throughout the workshop, participants will move back and forth between iBase® and Analyst’s Notebook® to visualize results and capitalize on efforts to solve investigations.
