Digital X-Ray technology is the way of the future for animal health the images are high quality and with the computer program we can enhance the images therefore providing superior analysis of your pets image. Offering Digital X-ray to our clients and their pets allows instant viewing of images and the capabilities to send these images to specialists in the province therefore providing quick support, diagnosis and treatment.
Full care dentistry provided by our staff with state of the art equipment allows preventative dental care. Dental care is a major contributor to improved overall health and wellbeing of our pets. Clients tell us their pet has a renewed energy and vitality following the dental procedure and we know that removing the source of chronic infection (the tarter on your pets teeth) their kidney and liver function improves.

Dr Barth has excelled in the area of orthopedics and has completed additional studies in different orthopedic techniques. His passion for orthopedics has supported numerous clients in the Grande Prairie area. We routinely receive referrals from other areas of the Peace region.
Intensive Care & Rehabilitation
Following surgical procedures Animals First Clinic provides the needed intensive care service and rehabilitation to ensure clients pets are supported along their care continuum. We can now perform rehabilitative support through the use of Laser therapy. Orthopedic surgeries such as Cruciates will benefit most from this new technology. It is a key to your pet’s full and quick recovery after extensive surgery.
Sled Dog Medicine & Surgery
Sebastian Schneuller, Aaron Peck and Irvin Wai are just a few of the Mushers Dr Barth supports in ensuring their athletes, the sled dogs, are fit and in top notch condition for racing. Sebastian was runner up at the Iditarod 2009 and the winner of the Yukon Quest in 2009. Dr Barth has also been a Sled Dog Veterinarian at the Iditarod 3 years and the Yukon Quest 2 years.
Dr Barth has a keen sense of connection with animals and as a result has supported and continues to support clients in managing challenging behavior which their pets may exhibit. This has become a second passion for Dr Barth and he provides this service to all of his clients.
