bobbyt: Seems like this blog is slowly becoming more of a sneaker/footwear website, but currently I find the latest styles, trends, and direction in the sneaker culture interesting. One of the latest trends that I recently became aware of is the new direction of Nike footwear. Considered to be the leader in sneakers, Nike is slowly moving towards a focus of running footwear, which is expected to be the most desired style of footwear in future seasons.
What does this mean exactly? With a shift of focus into running shoes we can expect to see a variety of Airmax retros dropping over the next few months, along with few Jordan fusions with the Airmax. The Jordan CFMT Air 11 was the first Jordan x Airmax to drop this year, but expect more colorways and styles for Spring/Summer. This does not mean that the Dunk, OG Jays, AF1 etc will not drop in variety of different colorways and limited drops, but with a focus on the running program, hopefully some interesting collaborations drop in 2011.
What do you think about this new direction?
