Emergency Safety Phones, are currently installed at three locations around the university North Campus and Campus St. Jean (8406 - 91 Street).

The single-button speaker housed in the blue colored towers will provide a direct link to Campus Security Services. Once the button is pushed, two-way communication to Campus Security Services is immediately established. In addition, the steady blue light atop the phone pedestal will turn to a brilliant strobe when the phone emergency button is activated, drawing the attention of anyone in the immediate area. A camera also locks onto the alarmed phone location and records all activities. These phones are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provide an additional sense of security for students, staff and visitors.

The phones are located along three of the busiest pedestrian corridors, one near the LRT Station on 89 Avenue & 113 St., one near the south east corner of Stadium Carpark and the third near the southwest corner of Triffo Hall. The locations were selected by the Students' Union following a Students' Union/Campus Security Services survey of the campus.
