As you know there is an urgent need for Professionally Trained Security officers and as the unemployment rate is rising in New York City and New York State the demand for Security Officers is at an all time high. With the events of September 11th and the threats of terrorism in our City, State and Nation (we are still on orange alert) served as a tragic wake-up call for corporate America.  Disaster can strike in an instant.  A secure tomorrow begins with Professionally Trained Security Officers that are armed with leading edge techniques to prevent and respond to these new and old challenges that face the security industry. 

New Era Employment Services Inc. Security Training school is presently providing Professional Trained Security Officers to the Security Industry.  Our instructors have an average of 20 years experience in private security and law enforcement.  We are licensed by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services and New York City Department of Consumer Affairs.  We are also authorized as a Red Cross Provider to perform C.P.R courses.  New Era Employment Services is approved by the New York State Workforce Investment Board; N.E.E.S appears on the Eligible list of training providers (ELP).

We are presently offering several Security Guard training programs which could be very beneficial for those looking into and interested in the Security field.  You will receive essential security guard training and all the certifications necessary to be placed into jobs paying $8.00 to $15.00 + per hour to start.  As detailed within, the turn around time on any of these programs can be between 1 Day to 1 week Depending on program package, in addition to training we will also provide Job placement for all graduates in our security training programs.  We have an excellent reputation with security companies that have hired and placed our graduates.

40 Hour NYS Enhanced Training
(Homeland Security)

With security anticipated as one of the fastest growing professions over the next decade, many more people now pursue a career in security.  As the number of personnel increases, it’s as important that these individuals have proper training so that they can both stand out in this more competitive job market as well as provide a higher level of quality service on the job. There are many benefits from taking the 40 hour Enhancement training.  A student that completes this training that qualifies as a security officer can start at a minimum of no less than $10.85 an hour

The 40 Hour Enhanced training was designed to improve a security officers observation skills, detection and reporting skills, improve coordination with all local authorizes police, fire and emergency services, provide and improve skills and working knowledge of advanced technology including surveillance systems and access control procedures.  Proper training, without a doubt improves a security officer’s credentials and credibility as a professional.

New Era is designing a 5 week Maintenance and Handyman Training that consists of:

  • Safety and Hazard awareness and identifying tools and what they are used for.
  • Proper Maintenance procedures (sweeping, moping, buffing, waxing, minor repairs, etc.)
  • Basic Plumbing procedures
  • Basic Electrical work
  • Basic Full Maintenance Procedures

Other Training

NEES can offer other trainings in CDL, School bus Driver/Escort Training, OSHA Industry compliance, Home Health Aid (HHA), Personal Care Aid (PCA) and Home attendants (HA). that can be available through a network of partnerships with approved license schools.
