The Data Dolphin provides the accuracy of a laboratory instrument in the harsh conditions of the field environment. Complete with pole mounted solar panel, rechargeable battery, pole mounted fibreglass enclosure, antenna kit and cables, and submersible level transmitter. The ultra-high resolution 24 bit analog to digital section provides 4 differential bipolar inputs with resolution down to 90 nanovolts. This allows most additional water quality sensors to be directly connected without any signal conditioning. There are an additional four inputs that can be user selected as pulse, status or analog inputs.

Data is stored in a non-volatile flash memory module that gives long term storage without worry of loss due to dead battery. The data is stored in a database structure, allowing you to add or delete inputs on the fly without having to restart the data logger. When enabled with a GSM radio, this data is forwarded on to a database where it can be accessed from the Internet using ViewDataNow.

Designed for field use it’s operating temperature range goes from – 40C(-55C special order) to over 75 C and all inputs have static protection and unused glands on the enclosure are rubber sealed.

  • Remote water level logging system
  • 22 Different Sensor Channels
  • Low Power Rechargeable Battery Operation
  • Solar Panel with Efficient Controller (Wattage application/location dependent)
  • Wireless Ready with GSM Radio
  • ANSI 12.18, Satellite and Modbus (Push and Poll)
  • Graphing and Reporting Via the Web (ViewDataNow Web Service) or Local PC (Data Dolphin Software)
  • 4MB Non-Volatile Flash Memory

The level transmitter has a variety of applications such as monitoring streams, reservoirs, surface water, or tank levels and can reliably and accurately provide you with consistent readings in a variety of operating conditions. This level transmitter was designed to provide a low-cost, reliable, industrial, submersible probe. Its simple design ensures trouble-free operation, yet provides very accurate readings. The SNR-PP has a stainless steel diaphragm with the option for titanium. 90 kg pull strength Polyethylene shield vented cable can be ordered to desired length, with the sensor including 25 feet standard, and of course aluminum flex conduit covering is available.

Available from Optimum Instruments is a very rugged thermistor for monitoring water or air temperature. This sensor is sealed and comes with water barrier cable. For monitoring air temperature, a solar radiation shield can be purchased to pole mount the thermistor and further protect it.

Data collection, programming and viewing collected data is a breeze with the Data Dolphin Software. It allows you to view the current status, setup the logger, and generate graphs. Data can be downloaded locally and exported to Excel as a .csv or accessed from the web. Available as a low cost subscription are data forwarding and hosting services accessed via our web application ViewDataNow. One can graph, generate tables, and set up e-mail alarming their remote data logging sites. Direct remote GSM connections to the data logger are also possible and settings can be changed over the air.
