Your dream smile is closer than you think!

While there are a lot of alternatives for replacing lost teeth, dentures can provide a simple and affordable solution that will be right for some people. Full dentures replace all teeth whereas partial dentures replace some teeth. Many options are available to make it feel and look as beautiful as your own teeth once did. Because, in time things change, and the jawbone recedes, the gums shrink, and a gap develops between the gums and the denture, dentures must be replaced at certain intervals. Regular dentist examinations are still important for the denture wearer so that the oral tissues can be checked for disease or change.

Custom Sport Mouth Guard

Sport, leisure and recreation activities are the most common cause of dental injuries. A sport guard, custom-fitted by your dentist, can help significantly reduce the risk of dental injuries. Custom mouth guards offer the best option for tooth and oral protection and concussion prevention while allowing for comfort, speech, and breathing in athletic performance.

Custom Night Guard

Night guards are specially made to fit a single individual's mouth and they are designed to protect the teeth and jaw from the damaging effects of bruxism (clenching & grinding). Bruxism can cause jaw pain, tense muscles, headaches, facial pain and excessive wear on the teeth. Teeth grinding can occur in both children and adults and can be a significant health concern that should not simply be ignored.

Endodontics - Root Canals

Decay or damage to a tooth can cause the pulp, blood vessels and nerves inside to become infected. Symptoms of the infection can be identified as visible injury or swelling of the tooth, sensitivity to temperature or pain in the tooth and gums. Root canal therapy involves cleaning and replacing the diseased pulp with an inert material while retaining the tooth and its function. A root canal treated tooth generally requires the protection of a crown to prevent a future tooth fracture.

Periodontal Treatment - Gum Disease

Sore, tender and bleeding gums are signs of gum disease, a chronic inflammatory condition that affects the majority of the adult population at one time or another.  Periodontal (gum) disease, including periodontitis and gingivitis, are serious chronic bacterial infections that affect the gums and bone supporting the teeth and cause inflammation, bleeding and pain.  Periodontitis involves progressive loss of the alveolar bone around the teeth, and if left untreated, can lead to the loosening and subsequent loss of teeth. Mouth pathogens can also infect other organs, putting you at risk for heart disease and stroke. Some people are naturally more prone to periodontal disease.  General health, diet, smoking, alcohol consumption, medications, diabetes or hormonal changes, etc. are also factors.

Gingivitis can usually be treated with a dental cleaning that involves the complete removal of plaque and tartar from the teeth and under the gums. The dentist, periodontist, or dental hygienist removes the plaque through a deep-cleaning procedure that eliminates the rough spots on the tooth root where the germs gather, and helps remove bacteria that contribute to the disease.  In some cases the laser may be used to remove plaque and tartar. To help plaque control, antibacterial mouth rinses may also be recommended by the Doctor or Hygienist. Regular professional tooth cleaning is important to remove plaque that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing. It is recommended to schedule regular dental check-ups every six months to decrease the risk of oral diseases.

Laser Cavity Diagnosis - KaVo DIAGNOdent

Laser Cavity Detection enables to quickly diagnose decay and prevent extensive damage to the teeth. It  is a non-invasive procedure that detects tooth decay that is not yet visible and would otherwise be undiagnosed by conventional methods alone. KaVo DIAGNOdent scans tooth structure with a harmless laser light, detecting sub surface cavities. Diagnosing decay in an expeditious manner helps to avoid the costly and time-consuming dental treatments that decay requires.

Laser Therapy - Odyssey Diode Laser

Comfortable, preventive, minimally invasive treatment options.

One of the most beneficial technological advances in dentistry and oral surgery is the dental laser. Specifically designed to make dental work less painful as well as making performing complicated dental surgery much easier for the dentist, the laser provides precise control over the depth and extent of cutting, while simultaneously minimizing bleeding and sterilizing the treatment area. The laser can be used to perform  frenectomy & frenotomy, gum contouring, treatment of aphthous ulcers, soft tissue crown lengthening, laser gum treatment, incision and drainage of abscess, fibroma removal, treatment of cold sores, exposure of unerupted teeth, treating teeth sensitivity and painful ulcers.  Laser surgical procedures improve healing time, reduce post-operative discomfort and also reduce the likelihood of bacterial infection.

Intra-Oral Camera

You see what the doctor see.

In intraoral camera is a tiny video camera used by dentists to record images of the inside of a patient’s mouth without causing any discomfort. The camera itself is a small pen shape device that device that is held by the dentist and moved around the mouth to record images of problem areas in color and with excellent picture quality. The camera is radiation free and uses a small LED light to illuminate the mouth. Intraoral cameras are painless and allow patients to see problems with their teeth or gums, including tarnished or corroded fillings, fractured teeth, tooth decay, tartar or calculus, bleeding gums, plaque, and many other problems that are going on in the mouth. With a clear understanding of their dental conditions, the patients will be able to make treatment decisions with confidence.

Digital X-rays

Did you know that Digital X-rays use about 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays?

A visual exam of your teeth gives us a great sense of your oral health. Digital x-ray images capture greater detail and are able to be manipulated to increase the clarity of oral problems that would otherwise go undetected. This technology allows us to better diagnose tooth decay, periodontal disease, cancer, abnormal growths in the jaw bones, cavitations, sinus abnormalities, or TMJ disorders. There are several benefits to using digital radiography over traditional x-rays:
- Safer - over 90% less radiation than traditional film X-ray
- Bigger and better - high-quality images
- More comfortable – there is no discomfort for patients
- Fast transferring dental records
- Shorter dental appointments
- Greener - eco friendly
