The Northern Alberta Renal Program (NARP) serves the catchment area encompassing northern and central Alberta, northwestern Saskatchewan, northeastern British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.

A multidisciplinary approach to care is utilized with the patients with ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease). This includes a team of Nephrologists, Nurses (Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses), Social Workers, Dietitians and other allied health workers.

These two Alberta Health Services programs are responsible for providing all chronic and acute renal care services across the province. Foothills Medical Centre is located one block south of 16 Ave (Trans Canada Hwy).

Renal Services - University of Alberta Hospital | Programs & Services

The programs employ specialized multidisciplinary staff, use sophisticated equipment and offer a full range of treatment options utilizing research-based, best-practice standards. These two Alberta Health Services programs are responsible for providing all chronic and acute renal care services across the province.
