 Why are Myotis radios low power?

Batlan spread spectrum technology uses a unique chirp signal which allows the wireless radio to remain in ‘sleep mode’ (thus preserving valuable battery life) versus ‘standby mode’.  In addition, because chirp signals are highly robust, they are able to rapidly turn on and off which means they do not needlessly draw energy. Finally, radios using Batlan technology are able to transmit and receive data in fractions of milliseconds which also preserves necessary battery life.
