Massage Therapy is an alternative therapy that focuses on manual manipulation of muscle, ligament, tendon, joint, and fascia. Massage has been used therapeutically since 2000 B.C., and is indicated for relief of a variety of conditions, most commonly including: Muskuloskeletal Pain Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Thoracic Outlet Syndrome Sprains/Strains Overuse injuries Digestive issues (constipation, Irritable Bowel Syndrome) Asthma/Breathing issues Bronchitis/Emphysema Motor Vehicle Accident relief A typical massage session ranges from 30-90 minutes, depending on the amount of areas that require attention. It begins with a short health history and assessment, and then the client disrobes and lays on the table, fully covered between two sheets, while the therapist leaves the room to wash their hands.
