May, Yemen & Kaura Diagnostic Imaging - fluoroscopy

By: May, Yemen & Kaura Diagnostic Imaging  09-12-2011

Fluoroscopy is a study of moving body structures, similar to an x-ray "movie." A continuous x-ray beam is passed through the body part being examined, and is transmitted to a TV-like monitor so that the body part and its motion can be seen in detail. We provide fluoroscopy in areas of Esophagram, upper GI series, Upper GI with follow through (may take up to three hours) and barium enema.

We are currently offering Esophagography, Upper GI and small bowel follow through studies, as well as barium enemas.

May, Yemen & Kaura Diagnostic Imaging - mammography

Most medical experts agree that successful treatment of breast cancer is often linked to early diagnosis of breast diseases in women. Screening will assist your physician in the detection of disease even if you have no complaints or symptoms. Mammography is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system for examining the breasts. Yearly screening mammography is recommended in Alberta for all women age 40-69.
