By deriving seismic field acquisition parameters from the geological database of the exploration objectives the seismic results will be focused on those objectives at the expense of shallower and deeper data resulting in greater cost-efficiency.
A program of field tests can be designed, executed, processed and analyzed to fine-tune the calculated parameters so that they are optimum and adequate to resolve seismically the exploration objectives.
We developed and use a proprietary software to iteratively derive optimum seismic field acquisition parameters from geological data, previous seismic data, well data, topographic and near-surface conditions and like information database.
We can establish ideal parameters such as number of recording channels, station intervals for source and receivers, minimum and maximum offsets, azimuth and offset distributions, source type, strength and spectra, receiver and source arrays, radiation patterns and like parameters all focusing on the seismic targets.
We can establish a program of field tests to explore parameters around the calculated optimum. Such program of tests not only helps to fine-tune the field parameters but also proves them to be optimum.
