When you’re ready to embark on your fitness program, we’ll meet with you to discuss your personal objectives. We’ll also do a fitness assessment to see where you are at now, so we can tailor a specific plan to get you to where you want to be.
Typically, people choose to work with a trainer for the following common goals:
Toning and trimming problem areas (abs, hips, thighs, etc.)
Recovering from injuries
Improving performance in sports
Pre- and post-pregnancy training
Training for their wedding (Calgary Fit Brides and Calgary Fit Grooms programs)
In developing your personal plan, we’ll draw from the hundreds of unique exercises we’ve developed over more than two decades. These exercises are designed to get great results, fast. We’ll train together once, twice or three times a week, depending on the schedule and pace you choose. And in between these one-on-one training sessions, you’ll be given instructions on the exercises and cardio training you need to do on your own time.
Distinctions Wellness and Personal Training has a holistic approach to wellness. In addition to the exercises, we’ll be providing you with advice on:
Nutrition – what foods you can eat to get better results, faster, and what foods you should avoid
Diet – when to eat, how much to eat, and pitfalls to avoid
Stress management – understanding the impact of stress on obesity and general wellness
Lifestyles coaching – how habits, ideas and beliefs can limit you, or set you up for success.
What kinds of clients do you work with?
Distinctions works with clients of all ages and lifestyles. Our youngest clients are in their teens; our oldest clients are in their 70s.
Many of our clients are in middle age, struggling with a slower metabolism. Others are looking to do bodybuilding, or to improve their performance in sports. Some of our clients are also professional athletes and models.
What kinds of goals do your clients have?
Many of our clients are interested in weight loss, but everyone’s goals are different. Some of the most popular areas we work on include:
