Deep Tissue Massage - Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

Relaxation Massage - Our massage therapists service relaxation in the art of massage therapy. A relaxation massage is a soft technique used to stretch muscles passively and to promote circulation in the body. When the body's energy is in a neutral frame then a true relaxation state can be obtained. Patients who seek time away from the stresses in life and for a chance to decompress love the relaxation form of massage therapy. Try it today and call for an appointment.

Reflexology - Reflexology is a focused pressure technique, usually directed at the feet or hands. It is based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body which corresponds to and are relative to all parts, glands and organs of the entire body.

When the reflexes are stimulated, the body's natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones. A reflexology session seems to break up deposits (felt as a sandy or gritty area under the skin) which may interfere with this natural flow of the body's energy.

Therapeutic Massage - This is the typical massage that most patients look for when the need relief from pain, anxiety, and even depression. This method is a low force, short or long stroke massage that lengthens muscles in the anticipation of reliving stress within the body.

Pregnancy Massage - Pregnancy massage is massage therapy specifically tailored for the expectant mothers needs. It is also called pre-natal massage. The mother's body must be properly positioned and supported during the massage, using pillows and padding. Proper positioning ensures comfort and safety for the mother and baby. Just ask for Angela Kirk. She will be more than happy to assist you in pregnancy massage.

Hot Stone Massage - Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage. The heat helps tight muscles release.

The therapist uses traditional strokes of Swedish massage while holding a heated stone. As the stone cools, the therapist replaces it with another. The therapist might also leave heated stones in specific points along your spine, or in the palms of your hand, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body.

Why Upper Cervical

At Crowfoot Chiropractic we screen every new patient on their first visit to find misalignments in the spine that may be leading to cause of their symptoms. By keeping this area of the spine clear of misalignment the brain can communicate with the body at 100% and the body can communicate with the brain. The reason why some people specifically ask for upper cervical care is because a friend or family member told them to get checked.

Orthotics

Remember if you are experiencing pain or discomfort in your ankles, knees or hip joints ..the direct cause may be the function of your feet or ill-fitting shoes. If your discomfort persists beyond a few weeks, please contact your health care practitioner, your orthotics may simply need a minor adjustment. Women have four times as many foot problems as men because they have a long history of wearing high heels and/or pointy toe shoes.

Blair Upper Cervical

After many years of research and study of all the techniques that were developing at the time, Dr. B.J. Palmer the developer of chiropractic realized that the only place a person could truly have interference to the nervous system was at the level of the base of the skull; and the atlas and axis vertebrae.

What is Upper Cervical

The priority of our treatments is to ensure that your spine’s alignment is in no way inhibiting the central nervous system’s role in maintaining your health. Composed of the brain, spinal cord and nerves, your nervous system organizes and executes every aspect of life in your body. Your brainstem is where the messages for heart, lung, digestive, immune, and other body functions.
