In an effort to ensure that employees who are responsible for managing at the front line level in a unionized environment DC&A provides the fundamentals of Effective Labour Relations training in an eight part program.
The training can be done in one or two day sessions. The program can be tailored to your organizations wishes however the program as set out is designed to focus on the practical side of administering the collective agreement and all parts are recommended.
The training takes the participants through the challenges one faces when approaching workforce issues in a unionized environment. The law is reviewed in some detail while the focus is on every day experiences encountered by front line managers in the administration of the collective agreement.
This program is very much a practical, hands on program with team work and individual exercises that challenge the participants to properly consider information, facts, and apply reasonable judgement to day to day situations.
The program concludes with a section pertaining to the collective bargaining process, getting ready for the collective bargaining table, the importance of staying on track with strategy, and staying on side with the Labour Code in any particular jurisdiction.
