About Camp Canine

What do we mean by “Alternative” Dog Boarding and Day Camp ?
Here at Camp Canine, there are no kennels. Instead, dogs, day campers and overnight boarders, spend the entire day in  group playing, running, socializing and even napping together. Several times a day, in all seasons the group plays in our 56,000 sq ft dog park. Our “bark park” is a fully fenced, private, rolling, groomed field that is a safe haven for our guests big or small – where our guests, chase, play fetch, dig, explore and grab a nap in the sun or under a shady tree. The dogs play under the watchful care of trained staff who enjoys the company of dogs. And when the weather is just too nasty out to play in the park we hang out in our 1,500 sq ft barn. Its important to us that all of our canine campers are having a tail wagging good time. For example pups, elderly and smaller breed dogs are sometimes put into a smaller group so that they’re not overwhelmed by the bigger, faster or more energetic dogs.

When indoors the dogs remain together amongst our family, free to roam the 2,000 sq ft of comfortable space where they socialize, play with the toys & chew bones lying about  catch a nap on comfy cushion, score a natural snack and human affection. They always have access to fresh water and we go out for bio breaks about every ½ hour. Feeding is done in a private, calm setting according to your dogs individual dietary needs. We pay attention to overall health, appetite and bowl movements to ensure your new camper is a happy camper.

Not all dogs are right for camp. Each new dog must pass an assessment that they can be social in a pack before being admitted. Your whole family is welcome to attend the assessment where we will go out with you and your dog to play with some of our camp guests in our dog park. Please wear appropriate footwear.

Like what you hear but no time to drop off?
If your schedule doesn’t permit you to drop off and pick up your dog, then we can provide transportation for a reasonable fee – please call us to discuss.
