Wee Tones are introductory group classes for ages 3-5yrs that involve basic instruments, games and musical activites to introduce the child to singing, rhythms, and pitching. It also assists in developing motor skills and promoting great socialization as they learn to co-operate, sing, play and make music with the other group members.
Semi-Tones provide private lessons on flute, recorder and piano for children 5+. Classes are fun and interactive while increasing the ability to read and understand music notation, hands-on knowledge of the chosen instrument, create their own music, perform in ensembles and concerts and have access to many other musical and social activities.
Minor Tones are lessons structured specifically for High School Flute and Recorder Students and support the music curriculum being studied at each Grade Level. Students are invited to use band/orchestral music as a basic part of the lesson. They are also encouraged to work towards taking Royal Conservatory of Music exams and to take part in ensemble playing and concertizing that provides a well-rounded experience.
Major Tones is dedicated to providing piano, flute and recorder lessons for adults. Understanding that practice is ususally limited, classes offer proven techniques that will help the adult student maximize the learning experience in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. Sessions are planned around achieving the goals specified by the student and are flexible to match work/travel schedules.
